About Max Amore

Welcome to Max Amore

Established in 1995, Max Amore is located in the growing center of Glastonbury, CT. While the concept resembles Max A Mia, Max Amore has shaped its own identity. Max Amore was rated “Best New Restaurant” in 1995 (following in the footsteps of its sister, Max A Mia) by Connecticut Magazine. Its northern Italian cuisine has earned it three “Reader’s Choice” awards and a Zagat’s Survey “very good” score of 21.

The staff’s mission is to provide a truly unique and enjoyable dining experience. Max Amore invites you to experience its brick oven stone pies or pasta made with the freshest ingredients. Seafood, beef, and pork entrees are also offered on Max Amore's extended menu, or try a daily special for new and creative fare.

A serpentine kitchen offers guests a view of the chefs at work. Comfortable booths surround the dining room and provide an intimate setting, while a private dining room is available for special events and parties.

In May of 2019, it was announced that Max Amore would close its doors for good at the end of June after nearly 25 years in business. "Max Amore has been an important and vital part of our group of restaurants and we are proud of the role that we have played in so many important celebrations and life events, as well as the friendships that we have built over the years with so many of our guests, many of whom dine with us weekly," stated Rosenthal. "It’s been an honor and a privilege to work with such a dedicated and professional group of employees that made Max Amore such a wonderful place for all these years."
